The Coffee: Migration is grown by our friend and coffee visionary, Byron Corrales. His farm, Finca Los Pinos, is an organic coffee farm located in the beautiful Arenal Nature Reserve in Matagalpa, Nicaragua. Sustainable farming practices that have been part of the Corrales legacy for many generations. In his own words:

“Behind every cup there is a forest, a river to protect, a climate to preserve, many hardworking hands, and a planet to care for.”

Byron is a shining example of a farmer doing everything right. His cultivation techniques make him a pioneer in his industry, and his coffee one of the most beloved. We are proud to call him a friend, and lucky to roast his coffee.

From Matagalpa to Maryland
Coffee is all about connection. Our friendship with visionary coffee farmer Byron Corrales brings us this unique combination of two heirloom varietals. Grown on the mountains of Matagalpa, Nicaragua, this coffee brings a sweet herbal taste as magical as the migration of the Baltimore Oriole. Turns out, when our oriole flies south for the winter, they travel to the same mountains that grow this amazing coffee. So wild knowing we share a connection to the same iconic bird.

Fresh roasted beans, the key ingredient! Use a burr grinder to grind these beans right before brewing. Coffee is 98% H2O – so use the good stuff! Brew 2 tbsp of coffee per every cup (6oz) of water. Store these beans in a cool dry place.
